CHAPTER ONE: Introduction

         Welcome to the NEXUS ARCANA GAME LORD GUIDE©. This volume contains the core rules and game mechanics of the NEXUS ARCANA D30 ROLE PLAYING GAME© system. Nexus Arcana D30 RPG is an “Old School” or “Classic” type RPG and is designed for ages 12 years and up.
         Within these pages are the classic collection of role playing game type character creation rules, combat rules, etc.
       Why the name Game Lord? This choice of name is a tribute to old 1970s/80s GameLord magazine which published supplements for the original Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game system as well as Palladium Book's original Fantasy RPG.  Therefore, just like a gamemaster the Game Lord is a sort of referee, or judge, who designs, explains, and determines the outcome that a group of player characters will have during the course of an adventure.

IF YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED A DICE-&-PAPER RPG HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO START (Recommended list):

• ONE COMPLETE SET OF DICE: 1D30,1D20,2D10 (each of a different color),1D8, 1D6, 1D4.


• A NOTE PAD


• A PENCIL (a mechanical type with refillable lead is best)


• AN ERASER (the pen type are the best as they are refillable)


• A CALCULATOR (for the sci-fi game, one that can go to one billion is handy)


• A GRAPH PAPER PAD (one with the 1/4 “ squares)
