...There must be something wrong with you because R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realm Series is by far the most interesting thing I have seen and read.

In this series he takes some things from the real world and puts them into the fantasy world of swords and magic, some things like judging people based on how we see them and what we know of them spoken through oral interpretation and legends which leads us to misunderstanding the good inside people.

Love this series so much that I have bought all of his books in collector's edition. <3

I loved his Icewind Dale trilogy and of course Underdark tales of Drizzt.

If you like Salvatore's series you may want to check out Steven R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series of books and Clive Barker's three pseudo-fantasy novels: The Great and Secret Show, Weaveworld, and Imajica.
Clive barker has other Dark-Fantasy novels as well.
Check out the official list of his works here:

Another great series was the original Dragonlance (http://www.krynnwoman.com/Summaries/Sum-Chronicles.htm)by Weiss and Hickman, that's what got me hooked on AD&D back in the 80s.

Fred Saberhagen's Book Of Swords series is one of the best IMHO.
