1984, what a book.
This work of fiction lays out George Orwell's objections to Communism (Scientific Socialism) and Fascism, which he saw as the natural destination in the socio-political evolution of Marxism.
Orwell's hero, Winston, expriences all the terrors of the vile government of "Big-Brother" first hand just for committing the crime of falling in love and thinking for himself.
I've read this book three times over and I never get tired of it.
He (Orwell) does a fantastic job of exposing what a horror a Marxist government would truly be like to live under.
