...or more accurately SPACE 1999.








I actually prefered this show over Star Trek (the original series).
Space 1999 was closer to genuine Science Fiction than many of its contemporaries.
It did of course have some crazy episodes, but so did Star Trek (Spock's Brain being among the worst).

The basic premise of the story is that a large thermo-nuclear explosion jettisons the Earth's moon Luna out of orbit into deep space.
Trapped on the moon, a large colony of international astronauts must strive to survive as their mobile moon plummets through the cosmos.

An entertaining show with a very interesting premise.
If you can find it, check it out, but please keep in mind this show was made in the 1970s and it shows.
