Description/Overview:
          The Kentucky class assault shuttle was the first space warship built by men of Earth. It was built by the United States of America soon after the United Nations had begun their exploration and conquest of the Earth’s Solar System. The primary mission of the Kentucky class was to act as a fast (for its time) anti-shipping warship. The Kentuckys were used to prey upon the UN cargo shuttles and standard shuttles of the time. The Kentucky class was built by NASA and various surviving USA aerospace companies.
         The Kentucky class of assault shuttles was used mostly prior to 2071. However, the ones that remained after 2070 were assigned to the Earth Federal Space Marines as escort ships for the Ogre class of transports. The first fleet of Kentucky class assault shuttles were built between 2052 and 2055 AD, and consisted of only 160 ships as of 2055 AD. This fleet was decimated in 2055 AD by the UNSC space fleet with only 35 remaining. An additional 200 were built by the US SpaceNavy in 2063 AD using the facilities at the former UNSC base of Juno. The Earth Federal Forces built an additional 500 of these ships just prior to the outbreak of the 1st Interplanetary War. After the war, there were only 320 Kentucky class ships left; all of these were sold off in 2085 AD to the Neo-Hebrew colonies of Saturn. A total of 860 of these ships were built between 2052 and 2078 AD.
